RangerSworn defenders of both Pokemon and nature, the Pokemon Ranger is ever vigilant against threats to either. Rangers are people of compassion and caring, and it shows in their abilities. Rangers are able to effectively heal their Pokemon with bandages, and know how to make the most of potions.
Skills:
- [Level 001] Healing Expertise: All potions used on Pokemon by Rangers heal 10% more health.
- [Level 001]: At this level, the Ranger can heal a pokemon once during any battle (and that means the whole battle in the case of trainer or gym battles, not once per pokemon substituted) the Ranger can totally heal one of their pokemon. This does not affect status problems, just damage.
- [Level 002]: Once per battle, the Ranger can also void any one negative condition during the fight.
- [Level 003]: The Rangers skill in getting across the countryside quickly allows them to now use the same abilities as given by the fly and surf moves. This is not a move per se, but just their ability to get around quickly. They still have to have been to the location once to "fly" back to it. (this will also allow them to hunt the water pokemon we normally need fishing poles for, but they cannot get to other continents until those are opened up properly.)
- [Level 004]: Once per month as a quest rp action the Ranger may befriend (take into their party without capturing) any one uncommon or common pokemon out in the wilderness. They must describe meeting and making friends with their new party member for it to be effective. The pokemon will be level 12.
- [Level 005]: Twice per any one battle, the Ranger may fully heal any pokemon which has not yet fainted. This includes removing negative conditions.
- [Level 006]: Once per month, as a quest action, the Ranger may describe tracking, battling and capturing any rare pokemon in the wilderness. The pokemon will be level 15.
- [Level 007]: The Ranger may rp once (not every month) meeting and befriending a unique pokemon in the wild. This pokemon will NOT join their party, but may with creative role playing provide other aid and will be well disposed towards the character.
As you can see, fighting a high level Ranger could get pretty ugly since they can heal their party. They may also show up most anywhere as distance doesn't serve as much of a deterrent to them. I changed the healing to this form instead of the bandages used before because they weren't really working in the game. Damage between battles is too hard to track and since time is kind of fluid, this just seems to work better.
