DUNGEON CRAWLING is a text-based adventure in which the player takes control of a character and advances by entering commands. Each player’s individual progress is tracked, as well as every subsequent character they control. All of this information is stored in the player option on the main menu (/!/ This is unlocked upon completion of the tutorial.)

//   How To Play
When you are given control of a character, you can play by entering commands. There is no “set list” of commands. Any action within reason can be used. To execute a command, type forward slash (/) followed by the action you wish to use (/pick up, /sit down, /go to, etc.), and complete it with a condition; a location or item (/pick up cup, /sit down on table, /go to the far side of the room, etc.), for example. More in-depth tips on how to play will be given in-game.

You wake up locked in a jail cell, completely alone. The only door into your cell is shut. There is only one window, on the wall opposite the door, which lets a little stagnant grey light trickle through. You are hungry. You don't know what time it is. You don't know what day it is. You don't remember much. You've been here as far back as you can remember. But today is different. Somehow, you sense a presence. The presence of... something. You don't quite know what. But everything feels different somehow.

/Tip/   You can do anything from here. Sit in your cell and think all day. Explore your surroundings. Be creative, and you’ll be rewarded.

You see a guard. He probably has the KEY to your cell.

There is no RIGHT ARM around anywhere! Infact, there are no ITEMS in your cell. All that you can see is a discarded PUMPKIN and a KEY. See? No ITEMS, useful or otherwise.

You open up the command prompt and enter your desired console command. The program is executed.

From the moment you click enter, the cell reforms; the drab colour washes out immediately, from the ceiling, and the walls, revealing tiles of prosthetic, hospital white. You look around, slightly astounded by the sudden change in surroundings, then smile as the tiles burst open.

You’re now standing in a dark room, infinitely bigger than your cell used to be. The DJ SYSTEM is at the north side of the room, and from there you can precisely control the exact amounts of RAVOUSITY and WUBTITUDE for this kick-ass rave.
