Milk Bottle Toss

[Nicola]

Nicola returned to the tossing game again, looking around to find the line oddly vacant. Shrugging, she picked up one of the balls and made to throw it. The man behind the counter looked wary, holding up his hand in readiness to protect his head in any way he could. Hoping that her additional laughter would not throw off her calculations, Nicola wound up and threw.

[Jessica]

((OMG TWILLI IS REFFING SOMETHING! END OF WORL-))

 Nicola released the ball, and missed, ending up going off to the right and towards the man behind the counter, who was ready and ducked, as it hit a supporting beam, off the back, and into yet another beam at an odd angle. In the end, the ball flew into stack of bottles from the side, knocking four of the six bottles, which subsequently rained upon the clerk. Muttering something about hating his job under his breath, he passes you your prize.

Daniel flew around the carnival and decided to try this game again. So he landed infront of the stall and picked up the ball before throwing it with his tails again.

[Nicola]

((A faint explosion was heard, as if some distant planet had just blown up for some strange reason...))

Dan threw the ball with his tails, hitting the clerk square in the chin. His face a seething beet red, the man all but knocked over the stand in his attempt to jump over it and strangle his fox-like client for his most recent injury. The two struggled for a few seconds before the girl running the Ring the Bell Game seemed to notice and ran over, prying her coworker off of Daniel with a practiced grip. She held the fuming man behind her with a single arm as she turned to Dan.

"I'm really sorry for that," the girl said apologetically, sounding as if this occurrence was not the first she'd had to apologize for. "He tends to get a little worked up like this when things don't turn out his way. Well, anyways, it seems that he's knocked down five of the bottles for you, so here's your prize, and a little extra for your trouble."

Jake walked up to the booth, after Pikachu's begging finally got to him. "I wanna play again." He said. Jake bought a ball and threw it at the stack of bottles.

[Nicola]

The Ring the Bell clerk had long since returned to her stand, and the grumpy man who generally ran the milk bottle toss merely glared at Jake menacingly as he threw the ball. Not surprisingly, Jake's aim that day was quite like everyone else's aim throughout the course of the Carnival-- downright awful. The thief hit the clerk right in the gut, hard enough to knock the wind out of the man, who slammed a frustrated hand on the game table. Three bottles fell over from this action, and he switched his enraged glare between Jake and the fallen bottles as he gasped for air.

"There's... your prize..." he gasped angrily. "Take it... and get out... of my sight..."

Daniel walked over to the ball game where he saw the clerk befored quickly looking towards the ball and the bottles.
"I'm not going to ask." He mumbled before throwing the ball with his tails as usual.

[Nicola]

The clerk seemed very wary of Dan's throw as he tossed the ball with his tails. The fast ball hit the stack of milk bottles directly and knocked over three of them. The man running the game quickly looked from the fallen milk bottles back to Dan and seemed almost giddy with joy as he realized that nothing had happened to him that round.

"Ahaha, improving our aim now, are we? Very good, very good job, I say! Here, you ought to take your prize here--"

Suddenly, the ball that Dan had thrown, which had been in motion the entire time, bounced off of one of the posts holding up the stand and the entire thing collapsed on top of the clerk. His hand reached slowly out of the rubble, holding up Dan's prize.

Jake walked up the booth. He was still laughing at what happened the previous day with the vendor. Jake picked up the ball and threw it out of his hand with a lot of strength.

[Nicola]

Jake had noticed that the stand looked far less neat than it had the other day, the entire structure looking as if it had been smashed into a million pieces then put back together with nails and glue. The clerk stood imposingly in the makeshift-looking stand, glaring at Jake as if daring him to make something go wrong. Jake tossed the ball with the intent to merely make the clerk even more miserable that day, hitting the bottle on the very top of the stack dead-on. The bottle flew directly into the man's face, temporarily blinding him as he stumbled through the back of the stand. Then the rest of it collapsed again.

The man said nothing as he unearthed himself from the ruins of his Milk Bottle stand, simply glaring daggers at Jake and thrusting the prize he'd earned into his hands.

Jake tossed the ball at the broken-down stand, hitting the stack of milk bottles one more time before the Carnival ended. He ended up knocking down three of the six, the ball bouncing off of the stack to hit the clerk directly on the nose.

He said nothing.
