Kailon's Escape

Kailon begins walking through Pallet town for a short while, before reaching the out limits of the town. "Route One..." he reads off the sign aloud. He glances back, "Bye home..." he mutters, before walking down the path, not looking back again. His pace soon quickens into a soft jog, then a steady run, and finally a full out sprint. The scenery changes fairly rapidly, from suburban to formerly forested area, and finally a light forest, with the only land safe for walking being a thin uphill path. After running for close to an hour, Kailon slowly quickly, left moving in a light walk, panting for air. "Dammit this is a long way..." he mutters, sitting down in small clearing not far from the path. He pulls out the pokeball, releasing the Vulpix. She blinks confused, walking a few steps in each direction, before turning and walking back, over to Kailon, staring at him for a moment before sitting down, still watching him.

"Hey there..." Kailon says softly as he reaches out, petting her. "Feeling better?" he asks rhetorically, the Vulpix rubbing hers head against his hand. He sighs, "Well, we best get going again..." he says, holding the pokeball out and catching her again. He stands up, and resumes his jog, a faint glow emitting from the city visible in the dusk.
