How to participate in a Pokemon Contest

Finally, after much struggle, the Pokemon Contests are here. Enjoy them.

After entering a contest, along with the other players and NPCs, you are led to a room backstage. Here, you get changed into dresses and suits, and pretty up your Pokemon.

After getting ready, you will be given the order of when it's your turn. Then you are split into two groups of four. After sorting out all the basics, the curtain is unfolded and the competition is underway.

First all the PCs will say what move they perform and how to perform it majestically, then any member will come along and reff this move, stating if the judges liked it or not, and so on, and the reff will also post the NPCs moves.

Also, note that there are certain factors that change a good move. For instance, if your Pokemon are wearing any accesories, thier happiness level (the higher the better) and thier STAT (Beauty: 10% Toughness: 0% etc.) There are also factors that decrease the potent of a move, one being the move itself (Take down is more of a Tough move then cute). Again, if your Pokemon Accesories do not fit in with the contest, it lowers thier appeal, and moves of other Pokemon may affect your Pokemon's ability, say for instance a Hail or a Sandstorm.

At the end of five rounds, the scores and rounded up. The highest person with a score wins, and your Pokemon gains +10% in whatever catagory they performed in. However, you must go through 2 rounds of it, getting progressively harder as the better people stay on.

On the new second round, only the three that completed the first round stay on. After another person is knocked out, comes the closing rounds. The battle rounds. Out of the four people left over, they are randomly paired together to double-battle. Each player (be they a PC or a NPC) must make the most interesting batle they can. They don't even have to win, if the judge says they gave flavour to the battle and made it interesting even though they lost, they could still be crowned winner of that round.

Then, the pair that won can eithier decide to split the winning money and prizes, or go to a final battle to decide who the 'true' winner is. Winnings vary with the difficulty of the contest, but you will ALWAYS recieve a ribbon.
