<sup>Joshua wondered if it was cruel to keep Nidoran fighting like this - after all, this was a brand new Pokemon and Joshua had yet to prove his loyalty to Nidoran. He considered that, as a duty to his trainer, Nidoran would hopefully fight to his full potential for him.

"Okay! Nidoran, don't focus on anything other than a Leer! As fast as you can, anything else can wait!"</sup>

Nidoran was struggling to keep its consciousness, but it was fighting a losing battle.  It squinted its eyes to try and LEER at Mime, but it was unable to focus on its opponent.  All that Nidoran saw was a glowing piece of foliage flying straight at him, slamming into his face. 

  Mime had shot off a MAGICAL LEAF at Nidoran, knocking out the poisonous pokemon after a harsh battle.  Nidoran had fought valiantly, but it had finally succumbed to Mime's attacks.

Mime: 100% (DEF -3)
Nidoran: FAINTED

Mime gains 1.5 XP!

Next battle:  Daniel's Mime (Mr. Mime) vs Joshua's Tails (Umbreon)

"Nice one Mime! But we need to be carefull now."

[Jo]

<sup>Joshua felt, in the extremities, very proud of Nidoran. Returning the fainted Pokemon to it's Pokeball, Josh felt Nidoran had done an epic amount of work for a Pokemon so small and underleveled. Which would make the next fight so much easier...

"Okay, Tails!" Joshua called, the Umbreon slipping into the light. "I want you to cast a Shadow Ball! This'll be Super Effective, I know it!"</sup>

[Dani~]

"Ok Mime, I want you to try to dodge any attacks and for you to use Magical Leaf!"

[RedFox]

Mime was sizing up its new opponent when it noticed that Tails, its former companion, was preparing an attack.  Mime jumped to its left and shot out a MAGICAL LEAF that sailed straight at Tails.  Tails was hit hard with the attack, but was relatively unfazed, as it shot out a SHADOW BALL in return towards Mime.  Mime saw the spherical orb of ghastly energy coming straight towards him, but was unable to make a move.  Tails' attack hit Mime straight on, causing Mime to lose its balance and fall to the ground with a thud.  Mime was sore from the attack and was slow to get back to its feet, but it raised itself to a vertical base and prepared from another round to fighting.

Mime: 40% (DEF -3)

Tails: 80%
Nidoran: FAINTED

"You can do it Mime! Try again!"

^{"Move spamming? Like Dusk from my last match? Oh noez! Quick, Tails, rush him with Tackle!"}

  Mime concentrated and quickly produced another MAGICAL LEAF.  Mime sent the leafy attack back towards Tails and connected head-on.  What took Mime off guard was Tails' retaliation.  Instead of using another Shadow Ball, as Mime had anticipated, Tails started running directly at Mime, intending to bum-rush it.  Although the Magical Leaf hit an attacking Tails, the dark pokemon was determined to make its attack, charging through Mime's leaf and slamming into Mime with a vicious TACKLE.  The force of the blow did a critical amount of damage to Mime, as if fell to the ground, unconscious.

Tails defeated Mime and gains 5 XP!

^{"We're not going to make it through if we just use moves, Tails, let's shoot a Shadow Ball as soon as possible and rush for some cover!" Joshua called to his Umbreon.}

Daniel called his pokemon back to it's pokeball. "You did good Mime. Are you ready Togetic? Use Sweet Kiss and try to dodge whatever attacks that come your way!"

[RedFox]

As Togetic was released form its pokeball, it was greeted with a hit-and-run attack by Tails.  The Umbreon had shot a Shadow Ball and took off towards the wooded area.  The attack flew right into Togetic and came out the other side, passing right through the flying pokemon as if nothing had happened.  Togetic then started skipping happily towards the woods in pursuit of Tails.  It caught up to the dark pokemon and bent over to give it a SWEET KISS.  Umbreon was able to scamper away, leaving Togetic to kiss some tree bark.  Togetic spit out a few splinters before happily pursuing Umbreon again.
