Silverclaw - Route 2

[Aura]

A cry of pain. Dusk spun around, looking for the source of the sound.

<This way!> Nyura cried, pointing one silver claw towards a bunch of trees.

Dusk and Nyura sprinted towards the trees as quickly as they could. They didn’t have to bother about waiting for Skull because he was in his Pokeball.

The duo forced their way through the bushes, wincing in pain when a branch whipped them. It didn’t take long to force their way through the bushes, but by the time they were out, the two were covered in a number of cuts and scrapes.

There was a cry again, and Dusk quickly spotted the one in pain. A baby Pidgey lay on the ground, one wing stretched out at an awkward angle.

<Looks like it hurt itself while trying to fly.> Nyura commented.

“Probably.”

<We should take it to the Pokemon Centre.>

Dusk hesitated. She’d stolen 600yen from a man there and didn’t want to go back in Viridian for a while. But she didn’t have a choice. She picked up the Pidgey, being careful not to cause it anymore pain, and moved swiftly towards Viridian Pokemon Centre.

It took about 10 minutes to reach the centre, but because of the Pidgey’s condition, they didn’t have to wait for long before they were served.

“How can I help you?” A pink haired nurse asked.

“We found this Pidgey on Route 2. It’s hurt it’s wing.”

The nurse nodded. “We’ll get on it.”

Dusk handed her the Pidgey and she darted off towards the emergeny room as wasn’t to appear for another hour. During that time, Dusk read a few chapters of White Tiger and Nyura dozed. The nurse came out, holding the Pidgey whose wing was bandaged up.

“She’s going to have to stay here for a while.” The nurse told Dusk.

“Ok then.”

The nurse walked away. Dusk laid on the floor and played hide and seek with the Pidgey, before giving it some chips which were left over from yesterday’s lunch. The Pidgey seemed happy with the attention. The nurse came out once again.

“We’d like to thank you for rescuing the Pidgey. Here, have 750yen and this Great Ball as a token of our thanks.”

Dusk happily took them, and then left the Pokemon Centre with Nyura, heading towards Route 2 once again.

Dusk dragged her feet through the dust. Dusk was falling and they weren’t anywhere near Viridian Forest. It was rather annoying. So she quickened her speed. Dispite this, a man passed her faster than she did.

“Hi there!” Dusk exclaimed, deciding to put on the cheerful mask.

He didn’t turn, or speak or even acknowledge her presence. He just kept walking. He wore a tee shirt with three silver claw marks on it. Dusk hissed under her breath. This was a member of her family, stating that as if it made him royalty. She knew it wasn’t a direct member of her family, probably some third cousin doomed to be a grunt. In his hand he carried a bag, which was filled with metallic spheres. Pokeballs. Tens of them. This guy had had a really good run of luck. Angrily, she turned to face Vasilia, her Dratini.

“Use wrap. Stop him from moving.”

Vasilia nodded, then twisted to face the man. She sped forwards, while Dusk ran and hid behind a boulder. The Dratini slammed into the man, causing him to drop the bag. She wrapped her whole long body around the man.

“You blasted Pokemon!” He screamed.

Vasilia took no notice of him, just squeezed tighter. The man gasped and shut his eyes. Dusk saw this as her turn to strike. She leapt out from behind the rock and sped forwards and grabbed the bag. Unfortunetly, the man opened his eyes. Before he could do anything, Dusk kicked him in the stomach, then punched him a few times as fast as she could before speeding away. Vasilia quickly caught up.

<A Pokemart… might ge..t a reward…> Vasilia mumbled.
 
“Good idea.”

The two quickly found the Pokemart and gave the bag to the attendant there, who was delighted and gave them 1000yen and two coupons for Ultra balls as well. Dusk and all her Pokemon then went to the Pokemon Centre and asked for a room there, because night had fallen and there wasn’t any point of going back to Route 2.
