Jake and Nicola in Route 1

[RedFox]

  Crystal shook its head, trying to rid itself of its sleepiness.  It still had its eyelids half drooped when it ran forward, ramming into Jiggy's stomach with a QUICK ATTACK, knocking the balloon pokemon over to the ground.  Jiggy was able to roll on its head through the attack, getting back up in a standing position rather quickly.  When it was returned to a standing position, it tucked its body into a tight DEFENSE CURL, ready to absorb any attacks that could be thrown its way.
  Meanwhile, Pooch ran towards Clef, ramming into it with a full TACKLE, which was too much for Clefairy to handle; Clef fainted from the blow, leaving Jiggy in a 2 on 1 disadvantage.

[Nicola]

"Great job, Crystal! You just Quick Attack that Jigglypuff again!"

[Jake]

"Pooch! Tackle Jigglypuff so Crystal can use QUICK ATTACK right away!"

Crystal and Pooch used a double-attack on Jiggy to try and hopefully knock it out and end the battle.  Cyrstal took the lead first and charged ahead of Pooch.  Jiggy took a deep breath in, inflating itself to its maximum size, trying to buffer the blow a little bit.  Crystal charged into Jiggy, bouncing off of the balloon pokemon's body and causing to exhale violently.  Pooch followed up behind Crystal and slammed into Jiggy, causing the pink puffball to fall to the ground.  As it sat back up, time seemed to stand still for Pooch, as it was completely enamored by the balloon pokemon and its CUTE CHARM.  It watched as Jigglypuff seemed to float on air as it smoothly sailed over towards Crystal, hitting the Riolu with a POUND to Crystal's skull that caused her to shriek with pain.

[Nicola]

"Ohh no! Crystal, hold on! Use your Quick Attack on Jiggy again!"

[Jake]

"POOCH! SNAP OUT OF IT AND USE TACKLE!" Jake yelled. In love? His pokemon was in love with another pokemon? Jake would normally be all right with that, but not if the other pokemon is Jigglypuff.

<sup>Crystal phased out of imagery for a second, than landing a walloping blow to the Jigglypuff. The puffball still held on, with it's elevated defence, and luckily too. Pooch was still mesmerised by the Jigglypuff. So cute... so pink... and so angry? Pooch's pink love rolled towards him furiosly and jabbed him in the face with a Pound. But she was so beautiful! He couldn't possibly attack back!

"Crystal! See if you can land the final blow on Jigglypuff with your Quick Attack!" Nicola called out encouragingly.

[Jake]

"Pooch! SNAP OUT OF IT AND TACKLE THE POKEMON" Jake yelled.

[Aura]

Pooch simply glared at his trainer before gazing back at Jiggy. You could almost see the pure love squirting out of his ears. Then, Jiggy disappeared from his eyes, having been knocked over and out by Crystal. Pooch barked angrily at Crystal before the Cute Charm wore off.

Congratumalations! Pooch and Crystal have gained 5 exp!

Both twins looked crestfallen seeing their Pokemon faint but they didn't worry too much (Their bags are filled the the brim with Revives and Hyper Potions. Their mummy is rich).

"Alright. We'll keep our end of the bargain and tell you what we saw." Molly said.

"It was a pond, but everything around it was black and dead." Milly whispered. "Even the Pokemon. It was horrible." She pointed in the direction she'd come from. "It was that way. Don't go that way okay?"

The two twins hurried away as fast as their feet could take them.

[Nicola]

Nicola grinned at the victory as Crystal successfully knocked out Jiggy and hopped back to Nicola's side to hear the secret the twins had to tell.

"It was a pond, but everything around it was black and dead." Milly related with a glint of fear in her eyes. "Even the Pokemon. It was horrible. It was that way. Don't go that way okay?"

"A pond with black and dead stuff around it?" Nicola asked herself, puzzled, as the twins quickly scurried away.

"Do you think it could be related to the Shadow Lotad?" she asked Jake.

[Jake]

Jake was puzzled. Black and gray land? All dead? Definitly Shadow Lotad. "I think so." Jake said to his partner. "Pooch, come back buddy! You did awesome!" He encouraged.

[Nicola]

Nicola gave a quick nod and pointed in the direction the twins had said not to go.

"Let's go, then!"

Bolt and Crystal following behind, Nicola started off in search of the mysterious deadened lake along with the Shadow Lotad. She waited for Jake to follow before completely moving along.

[Jake]

Jake and Pooch slid into the shadows and krept along until they saw the bad ecosystem. He looked at Nicola. "Ready?" He asked, smiling.

[Nicola]

"Ready! Let's go!"

The two then charged into the clearing, Nicola managing more of a stumble, trying to surprise whatever might have been waiting for them around the black pond.
