"Grr..." Dorobo thought as quickly as he could. Then it hit him. "Shinx, wait for it to appear and then Attack it with a Tackle!"

Shinx prowled low to the ground, waiting patiently for Nincada to make the first move. It stood completely still for a good 30 seconds when it heard a small snap of a tiny twig behind it. Shinx reared around, noticing the stealthy bug flying directly for it. Shinx was able to use a TACKLE to knock the small bug back out of the air, unconscious.
Shinx won the battle! Shinx gained 3XP and 10 <3 Points.
The ninja boy stood with his eyes wide open, unable to comprehend that he lost. All of a sudden, he said, "It looks like our ninja techniques have failed. We both have some more training to do. Let us be off!" With that last statement, he returned Nincada to its pokeball and throw down a small smoke bomb that clouded Dorobo's vision. The scientist could have sworn that he saw the ninja boy throw down the smoke ball, stand still for a minute, and then run away in the opposite direction, but he had to be mistaken.

"Good Job Shinx. You have done enough training. It's time for you to return to the Pokeball." Dorobo stated. He then took out the ball-like prison and activated it, thus putting Shinx inside of it. He then took out another ball, and activated it to take out his other Pokemon, Budew. "Budew, its time for your first training. Lets go." Budew then started to run towards the bushes. It loves to hide in bushes. "Budew no! There might be something in there that can hurt you!"

(If I were a real jerk, Budew would encounter a wild bear trap.)
Budew happily skipped over to the bushes and started shaking the branches happily. The shaking bushes caught the attention of a wild Sentret, which was coming over to investigate what was happening.

"Okay, Budew. See what you did? Now that Sentret came over. Your just going to have to use Absorb on it." Dorobo said.

Sentret came over to investigate the strange walking plant. It sniffed Budew curiously and then used its FORESIGHT to try and figure out what Budew was and what it was going to do. Budew then sprung at Sentret, attaching itself to Sentret's tail in an attempt to ABSORB some of Sentret's health. Sentret started hopping up and down in anger while running around in circles to try and throw off Budew.
Sentret: 70%
Budew: 100%

"Oh this is funny to watch. Budew, kep that Absorb up. Try not to let go!" Dorobo said while trying to suppress his laughter.

Budew clung on to Sentret's fur as well as it could muster, continuing to ABSORB health from the flailing Sentret. Sentret finally jumped into the air, tightening its body into a DEFENSE CURL mid-air, and finally slamming its body onto the ground.... on top of Budew. Sentret ran a few feet away and then turned around, staring down Budew angrily.
Sentret: 40% (DEF +1)
Budew: 100%

Okay the funny part is over. Dorobo thought out. He then thought of another possible tactic. "Okay Budew, wait for it to attack. Try to intercept it with another Absorb." He then looked at the Sentret. Okay, it is angry, if it doesn't attack, it's a little dull in the head.

Budew collected itself after Sentret's impromptu belly-flop and waited patiently for Sentret to charge towards it. After a few tense seconds, Sentret took off, racing in a rage towards Budew. Budew was caught off guard by the tenacious attack of Sentret, getting hit with a harsh SCRATCH across the face. Budeew shook off Sentret's attack, attaching itself to Sentret and using another ABSORB.
Sentret: 10% (DEF +1)
Budew: 95%

"All right Budew!" Dorobo cheered out. He then re-collected himself and said, "Let's go again Budew! Use another Absorb.

Budew held on tight to Sentret, trying to ABSORB everything that it could. Sentret raised up its paw to deliver another SCRATCH, but instead fell to the ground on top of Budew. After struggling for a moment to get out from under Sentret's body, Budew emerged victorious.
Budew gained 2XP and 10 Happiness!

"Great Job Budew! I'm so proud of you!" Dorobo yelled out. he rushed over to pick up Budew and gave it a good hug. He knew to get it to evolve he would need to show as much love and compassion to it as possible. "Okay, do you want to go again? Let's train some more. Come on." Dorobo motioned as he put down Budew and they both walked down the Route together.

The trio walked down the road some more, until they noticed a lone Rattata running along the path. It didn't seem to notice the group or care that they were there. The Rattata seemed to be enjoying a nice cool Spring day. Rattata

"Hmm... Budew, lets get you some more training. I think it looks like it wants to play and needs a playmate. Budew, go in there and show it that you want to play by using GROWTH." Dorobo then sat down on a stump to watch the two Pokemon play/fight.
