Taylor Grange and Totodile on Route 1 [CLOSED]

Taylor and his Totodile were walking only for a few minutes on Route 1 when they heard a noise, it sounded like a tree or bush moving with the wind.  But, Taylor didn't feel any breeze, so he turned towards the sound to see if he could see what was making the sound.  From behind quite a few leaves, Taylor saw something move, he was not sure what it was, but he and his Totodile were ready to take on whatever it was.  "Look like this might be our first fight Totodile!" Taylor said with excitement.

Taylor's eyes and ears did not deceive him.  There was a pokemon hiding in the bushes, staring at the strange newcomer and his weird looking pokemon with the large jaws.  The pokemon came out of its hiding place to get a closer look.  The pokemon, which happened to be a happy-go-lucky Sentret came onto the path and started sniffing the air, trying to catch the strangers' scent.

Taylor looked at his Totodile, "Are you ready to fight your first battle?" he asked.  Totodile nodded in response and walked towards the Sentret that was ahead of him.  "Totodile, use your Leer attack!"  Taylor commanded.

Totodile used its LEER on the Sentret, causing the wild pokemon to panic a little bit.  It still wasn't sure exactly what it was up against, so it decided to use FORESIGHT to try to gain a little bit of a tactical edge.

Totodile: 100% (Evasivenes lowered)

Sentret: 100% (DEF -1)

"Totodile, use Leer one more time!"

Totodile used LEER.

Sentret's defense fell.

Sentret used SCRATCH.


Totodile: 80%

Sentret: 100% (DEF -2)

"Ok Totodile!  I want you to use Scratch now, do some damage to it.  It's defenses are down!" Taylor said to Totodile, moving his hands in a scratching motion.

Totodile looked at its trainer, wondering what he was doing.  Totodile started waving its clawed hands up and down, seemingly oblivious to Taylor's intent; Totodile was obviously mocking its owner.  Meanwhile, the wild Sentret made its way over to Totodile and gave it a nice SCRATCH on its fanged snout.  Totodile, now focused on the wild pokemon and steaming with anger, raised up one of its claws and brought it down with a mighty SCRATCH across Sentret's face.

Sentret: 49% (DEF -2)

Totodile: 60%

"Good one, Totodile!  Give it another scratch attack!" Taylor shouted to his Pokemon.

[RedFox]

  Totodile gladly obeyed its trainer's orders, ready to continue to pound on the Sentret.  It was still full of rage at the wild pokemon's attacked when it waddled forward, slashing Sentret's face with another vicious SCRATCH.  The wild pokemon shrieked with pain before falling to the ground, unconscious.

Totodile is victorious and gained 2 XP (or 3 if Trainer) and 10 Happiness Points!

"Good job, Totodile!"  Taylor said to Totodile, holding his hand out for a high five.  Taylor and Totodile took a small rest then started walking in "circles"  in the patch of grass he was in.  He was really hoping for another battle.  Having his first battle was so much fun, and he knew that Totodile had a lot of fun too, even though he got scratched by that Sentret. . . Twice!

(Sorry to spam post, but your post reminded me of that comic and the following one.)

Taylor and Totodile walked around Route 1 for a little bit in what seemed like circles until they happened to come across a wild Zigzagoon on the path, just minding its own business.

"Okay Totodile, Go up to that Zigzagoon and use scratch on it," Taylor told Totodile in a whispering tone. . . Not to attract the attention of the Pokemon.

Totodile waddled from Taylor, heading right towards the ZIgzagoon.  The Zigzagoon didn't mind the Totodile being around... until the small crocodile pokemon came up to it and used a SCRATCH on its face.  The Zigzagoon jumped back, obviously in pain, but now focused on the battle.  It raced forward, slamming into Totodile with a TACKLE< knocking it to the ground.

Totodile: 85%

Zigzagoon: 70%
