Dusk V Joshua - Route 1

^{(Yesh, it's allowed, but to an extent. You can't exactly be falling into a volcano and say "I reached for my magical amulet I got when I was 3 and I teleported to fairy world". So, yeah.)}

  Mime and Nyura panted, trying to catch their breath.  Each one was trying their best to keep consciousness.... and barely succeeding.  Mime started off by taking flight and running behind a tree.  Nyura noticed the change in tactics and seemed to vanish with a whiff of smoke.  Mime was waited behind the tree, preparing itself for another attack.  Out of nowhere, Nyura ran up and slammed Mime into the tree with a forceful Quick Attack.  The force of the blow seemed to have an effect on Nyura, as the dark pokemon jumped back after the impact, took a knee, trying desparately to catch its breath.  Mime stared straight at Nyura and shot out a Magical Leaf attack.  As the homing leaves raced towards Nyura, the Sneasel was able to get back up to a standing position, noticed the leaves, and braced itself for impact.  Right before the Magical Leaf attack connected, the leaves fell straight down to the ground, as Mime had lost consciousness and fainted.  Nyura panted a few times before dropping to the ground in relieved exhaustion. 

Nyura has just defeated Mime.

<sup>Joshua gasped and ran over to his Mime, now fallen on the floor, breathing heavily. He had just lost his first "proper" Pokemon battle. He bent over to Mime and picked him up, and whispered into his ear.

"I'm sorry. I promise, I'll make you stronger..."

From Dusk's view, with Joshua bent over with his head barely visible, it looked like he was about to cry. He looked up to Dusk's puzzled face, and his own lit up.

"I know I lost. But that means I know I have to get stronger! Besides, if I won it'd be boring."

It was true, what Joshua said, but he couldn't help feeling sad for losing inside. Anyways, he returned Mime to his Pokeball and got out his bag.

"Here's the Yen. Take it."

Joshua said, handing over the 500 Yen prize money.</sup>

[Aura]

Dusk took Nyura up in her arms and gave her a hug.

< Heh. I kicked that mime's ass didn't I?>

"And you did a very good job at it too." Dusk gave her pokemon another hug.

Then she turned to look at Joshua. She thought his eyes were wet. Confusion filled her. It was just a Pokemon battle...

"I know I lost. But that means I know I have to get stronger! Besides, if I won it'd be boring." He handed her 500 Yen. "Here's the Yen. Take it."

Dusk accepted the money and tucked it into her own bag. She then smiled at him.

"We should have another battle some time. It was fun."

A sound filled the air, and Joshua looked around. He didn't find the source of the sound, so he turned back and gave a start. Dusk and Nyura had vanished.
