Dusk V Joshua - Route 1

Joshua looked frightened at his Mime's health, and what this Pyschopath would do to him. Then he remembered his heist on Route 1. Joshua whipped out a Potion and sprayed Mime.</sub>

(Just leave it. It doesn't matter that much.

And are we betting a potion or not? Reni seemed to think we were...)

(Do you want to? Hm, I'd have to say Yes.)

(I'd say no, because that stops me from using Potions if I need to.)

(Heh, you only have one? Too bad, you're not gonna get to use it before Nyura gets knocked out! Competitive speak, yay! Anyways, reff anyone?)

(Hate to break it to you, but items during a PvP battle IS usually frowned upon.  I can go with it here, but only if both parties agree.  Also, IS a potion being wagered here?  It looks like a 'no' out of necessity, but I could be mistaken.)

(Sorry.  My mind switched over to competitive battling mode for a moment, where items are not allowed.  I also did not see any clause in the beginning of the thread talking about items.  That being said...)

Joshua, seeing that Nyura was running in for the coup d'etat on it new psychic rival, decided that a new form of action needed to be performed.  He reached into his backpack and pulled out a small Potion that he had received before.  As Dusk was giving her command to Sneasel, Joshua sprayed down Mime, relieving some of the injuries received earlier in the battle.  As Mime calmed itself after receiving the soothing spray, Nyura came by and slammed into Mime with a devastating Quick Attack, knocking Mime down to the ground.  Mime layed on the ground for a moment, trying to catch its breath; it was down..... but not out.

Nyura: 43% TAUNTED

Mime: 40% TAUNTED

<sup>Joshua had to upp his game - and fast, or he wouldn't of done a thing but waste his potion. What to do, what to do. Mime wasn't suited for close combat, and even though he could stand his ground in the fighting quarters, he was no match for a quick but brutal Sneazel. He couldn't send out Tails, but he knew one thing that he could do...

"Mime, use Confusion on that small dead tree over there to topple it over, with the logs at the base. Confusion might not be strong enough to take down the tree however, but even better, if Nyura charges towards you with a physical attack, try tripping or flinging her into the logs! It's worth a try! Also, the logs should create a change in the battlefield, allowing you defence for ranged special attacks whilst she is vunerable by only attacking physically!"</sup>

Potions restore 20 HP, not 50, unless it's a super potion.)

This was... really bad. If Nyura had to spend time jumping over a tree to get near her target, the Mime could use confusion to push her back. And while Confusion itself wouldn't cause that much damage, if Nyura crashed into something sharp, it would really kill. Then Dusk spotted the used-to-be rubbish bin lying flat on the ground from her falling on it.

Dusk grinned and retrieved the flat metal disk. She then pulled out the dagger Mars had given her and worked on shaping it into a bunch of small boomerag shaped pieces of metal.

"Nyura, quick attack!"

As Nyura darted forwards, Dusk hurled the metal into the air like one would use a frisbee. She was sure that while the psychic type would be able to throw Nyura, it wouldn't be able to do so with pieces of deadly metal flying through the air.

Once, Dusk( Aura: *coughmecough*) had gotten a tiny piece of metal stuck in her eye. It felt as if someone had stuck a pin in her eye and left it there. And to make things worse, no one had found out what it was until it was to late. The eye automaticly regrows over the object in the eye, which stopped it from being brought out with some special cloth. So she had to travel to Viridian City to see a guy with the right qualifications who then stuck a needle in her eye to take it out.

This she yelled to the Mime as she threw the metal, hoping to make the psychic focus more on the metal, and less on Nyura.

(Ah, remember dear Aura, we're working with percentage %, not HP. So, if it only healed 20%, Mime should have about 100 HP. For a level 9. Oh, and was that dagger and Mars asscosiated with a previous quest, roleplay, and/or encounter? If not, I'm afraid you can't do that.)

(I do have to echo Joshua with regards to the more than 20% recovery.  The recovery was based on percent recovered, not by the total HP.  The only sub level-10 pokemon that would probably even have a chance at 100HP by this point would be Blissey and Wobbuffet.  But, I digress....)

Nyura charged forward, zipping towards Mime with a blinding streak of light.  Nyura came down on Mime with a devastating Quick Attack, dropping Mime to one knee.  As Nyura stood over the downed Mr. Mime, in a gloating manner, two things started happening: 1) Dusk was shaping a piece of metal in her hands and was preparing to throw it and 2) a small tree began shaking violently.  Mime was on one knee, trying to hold onto consciousness and yet able to concentrate enough on the tree to start uprooting it from the hard earth.  Mime looked up at Nyura with a fire in its eyes and the tree started sailing towards Nyura's head.  All of a sudden, both Nyura and Mime realized that they were in trouble, seeing various objects coming towards them.  Nyura jumped out of the way, easily escaping the path of the tree.  However, Mime changed the trajectory of the tree, altering its course so that it collided mid-air with the metallic disc.  The disc had gotten lodged in the trunk of the tree falling to the ground on impact.  The tree still had its momentum, however, as it rolled towards the Sneasel, who had just dodged the tree once, but it wasn't so lucky the second time.  It tried jumping over the tree, but mistimed its jump, catching its foot on a branch and sending Nyura face-first onto the dirt and mud below.

Nyura: 23%

Mime: 20%

Joshua sounded confident, but bit his lip. He hoped this worked.</sup>

(What? So it can't be apart of her history? Dusk could have got it when she was 7. Knowing the kind of family she grew up in, she probably got it then. Just because it isn't mentioned doesn't mean it couldn't have happened before her first quest.

And that does sound kinda stupid. Think if you didn't say in a quest that your trainer had clothes. Then they'd be running 'round in their birthday suit. Not too good. XD)

Joshua wasn't the only one who bit his lip. Dusk's actually started bleeding. She needed something. Fast. First things first though. Dusk leapt forwards to where Nyura was and helped wipe the mud off her face. Then she whispered in her ear.

"Nyura. Pretend the run straight towards the Mime and as soon as he lets it rip, change course. The leaves will have to follow you, but by using Quick Attack, you have to strike first. So hopefully, you'll knock the Mime out. Give all your power."

She then stood up and took a few steps backwards, praying to whatever gods were out there.
