"Little is known about the upcoming Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver games. At the Moment, all we know is that they are remakes of the original Gold and Silver games, set in the Johto region and coming out for the DS in Autumn/Fall of 2009 [Japan]. As these games are remakes of Gold and Silver, they will feature boh Johto and Kanto and follow the storyline of you as a trainer, going through the Gyms of Johto and Kanto, and winding up needing to thwart a Team Rocket plot to take over the world with their Pokemon. Even though it will follow closely on the basics of Pokemon Gold and Silver, there are a variety of expected new features brought into these remakes. Firstly, all the game Mechanics are brought up to the 4th generation standards. Second, one of the major new features is that you can have any Pokemon follow you in the games. This way, you can truely personalize your experience. In addition to the areas previously in Johto, there are new areas to be found within Johto. In addition to that, there are non-Johto Pokemon to be found in it including Kyogre in HG, Groudon in SS, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. HG & SS is also packaged with a new peripheral; PokeWalker, which will allow you to transfer a Pokemon to it to train it up as you walk around your Normal Life. I'm soo getting Silver. Mainly because Lugia's my favourite legendry Pokemon. I'll probably start with Cynderquill or Totodile, 'cause they're just awesome.
Oh, and you have to add Arceus to the non Johto pokemon. It's possible to catch that as well.

I've never played Johto before! *fangirlish scream even though it's coming from a boy* I definately wanna start with Chikorita, one of my favourite Pokemon of ALL TIME. I'd probably get Soul Silver, Mainly because I prefer Lugia to Ho-oh and Groudon to Kygore.

Did you notice that in each one, the two EXCLUSIVE legends are both of water and fire origin? Groudon may not actually be FIRE type, or Lugia may not actually be WATER type, but it's the concept that counts.

When I get a version, I'm gonna trade my Arceus (HACKED) to it so I can create one of the following: Dialga, Palkia & Giratina. They are at lv1 and have a move they shouldn't normaly learn.
