Joshua's Journey - Route 1 (Wild Encounters)

[Jo]

     Joshua, Tails (Lv. 5 Eevee) and Mime (Lv. 1 Mr. Mime) walked into the dusty Route 1 once more. They ventured into the long grass in hope of finding Pokemon.
   "C'mon, guys, let's beat the butt off of any Pokemon or Trainer that challenges us!"
   ~Certainly, Joshua.~ Joshua heard someone say.
   "Huh? Who's there?" Joshua asked.
   ~Ah, don't fret. It's me, Mime. Most psychic Pokemon can telepathically communicate with thier trainer. Didn't you know that?~ Mime asked.
   "No, but it's awesome you can speak! I wonder if Tails can..." Joshua asked himself.
   "... I can." Tails said. "I only chose not to until I got to know you. Now I do. I really like you."
   "Aw, that means a lot, Tails. Thanks." Joshua patted Tails. She purred.
   ~Erm, Joshua. We're still in tall grass, and we're unwanted.~ Mime poked Joshua. He turned to see a -------

[Aura]

A very bored Ratatta, level 5 (male).

<Aww crap... this sucks. I'm soo bored. And ma won't let me do any fighting today... Hang on, is that a trainer?>

[Jo]

     "Hmm," Joshua said, triumphantly. "A perfect first battle to test your abilities, Tails!"

   "Right, ok Josh. I'll show you my power!"

     The Rattata took a defensive stance.
   "Fine then, Tails, lets start with a simple Tackle to test your strength!" Joshua told Tails. Tails jumped out of Joshua's hands to the dusty floor of Route 1 below, and waited for Rattata's first move.

[Jo]

[Dani~]

(ok then, Take 2)

Rattata thought 'Hmm I guess one little battle won't do any harm. I shall use tackle' as both pokemon ram into each other heads first. They bounce back with sore heads.
Rattata: 75%
Eevee (Tails): 80%

[Jo]

(It's not perfect, but it's reffing. Try to be a bit more creative than "Just attacking" If you know what I mean.)

   "Ok, Tails! See that log over there? I want you to jump on it and then sky tackle Rattata, hopefully landing on it!" Joshua told Tails. She nodded, and ran towards the log.

[Dani~]

Rattata watched as the Eevee ran towards the log. It thought 'Huh, what is that Eevee up to?' Rattata stared as the Eevee jumped on the log. The Eevee jumped high into the air, then zoomed right towards Rattata. 'What!? Oh I see, I must get out the way before it hits me.' The Rattata ran to the left of the log, but Tails turned left aswell. Rattata then ran over to the right of the log, but the Eevee stayed on track. Rattata was thinking of a good Idea, but he got slammed in the back by Tails. The Eevee had taken minor damage from the fall. Tails jumped back a few yards. Rattata: 55%
Eevee (Tails): 75%

[Jo]

(Awesome! Flying Homing Eevee! Took you long enough though! ^^)

"Ok, Tails! Great!" Joshua yelled. Tails beamed. She loved being complimented. "Ok, another Tackle!"

[Dani~]

As the Eevee approched the Rattata, it remmbered the plan it was going to use. 'HAHAHA! Get a load of this.' The Rattata started to run quite quickly, much faster than Tails, and ran circles around Tails. The Eevee started to become dizzy and fell over, giving the Rattata a chance to attack. 'I've got you now!' Rattata thought and rammed the Eevee in the belly and flipped it up into the air. Rattata stoped and looked up at Tails, who was still dizzy tried to regain ballance and managed to snap out of it. Tails came to the ground on all 4 paws and tackled the Rattata, but it missed. Both pokemon were at 55% health.

[Jo]

"Ok, Tails! Attacking isn't your greatness, try using Leer to put of guard!" Joshua called out to Tails.

[Reni]

<sub>The Eevee nodded to its owner, then turned to face the Rattata. The small Evolution pokemon narrowed its eyes menacingly, causing the Rattata's Defense to lower. The Rattata, besides being more vulnerable now, had also been freaked out by the look, which, by the way, looked like Eevee wanted to eat him. In its panic to run, it didn't look at were it was going, slamming right into a tree, knocking it out, temporarily.

Eevee: 55%
Rattata: 50% [Defense -1, knocked out, temporaily]</sub>

[Jo]

"Heh, awesome Tails!" Joshua called out. "Now tackle his underbelly, flipping him up into that tree!"

[Reni]

<sub>The Eevee sprinted towards the knocked out Rattata, slamming into its belly, sending the Rattata up into the tree. The branches made many scratches on the small rat pokemon, covering it with blood. The worst wound the small pokemon had received was a large gash on it's face, which would probably leave a scar. The Rattata hung on a large branch, panting heavily, mentally vowing to get revenge on the Eevee, after it got stronger.

Wait... Did I say mentally? Forget that. The Rattata was actually squeaking very loudly, and very angrily. <Yoo sink yoo hav won? Yoo aw wong! Yoo may hav won zees time, but I weel win naxt time! MWAHAHAHA!> What was wrong with it's voice? More importantly, what was wrong with its brain? The answers are: The scratch damaged the rat's nose, causing the sound to be twisted. The rat was born with a weird mind. THe rat spoke again. <Oo! And zees! Leesen weel! ...CURZE YOOOOOO, EEVEE!!!> And with that, the Rattata fainted.

Congratz! Yoo've... Err... You've defeated a psycho Rattata! Eevee gets 4 EXP!

[Excuse the weird rat post. I can't think straight on an empty stomach... Plus, my mind is kinda twisted, at least at the moment it is...]</sub>

(Awesome Reni! I love the Physco Rattata! More reason to Roleplay! YAY! Oh and passing note, I get 3.75 EXP, 'cuz I'm a trainer. Which is rounded up to 4 EXP. Because I.M.SPECIAL)

"Ok, Tails! Let's just carry on and see what we can find." Joshua said to Tails. Tails nodded, and walked alongside Mime.
   ~Er, Joshua?~ Mime asked.
   "Yar, Mime?" Joshua replied.
   ~If we run into a Pokemon that looks like a pushover next, could I have the battle?~ Mime said.
   "Certainly!" Joshua told Mime. And with that, they were off!

[Reni]

<sub>[^^ Oh, and by the way, the Rattata will come back for revenge... Be prepared! Oh! Also, I know you're special, but are you sure the 3.75 rounds up?]

A yellow and brown thing with leaves on it twitched in the bushes at the Mr. Mime's voice. It angrily shouted out, <Pushover!?!? Is that clown talking about me!?!? I may look small, and be weak, but I am no pushover! ...Well... Maybe I am......... Hey! That's not my point! My point is, that I will battle you, Mime!> A Sunkern [Lv. 2, Male] hopped out of the bushes, hopping up and down, excitedly. <So! Who will I battle? The weak Mime of the stronger 'Vee? Well? WELL?!?!>
