It was a long night for a young boy named Joshua. He wasn't an easy sleeper, and tommorow being THE big day wasn't helping the matter. He tossed and turned all night but just couldn't get a good night's sleep.
   "I know," he said to himself. "Mum and Dad are asleep, I'll sneak downstairs and get some strong tea. That way, I'll stay up all night and not feel sleepy in the morning! Joshua, you genius!"
     So, with that, he crept out of bed and opened his bedroom door. It creaked a little, but Johua was sure his parents couldn't of waken up just to that. He put a foot out the door and froze. He hated the dark, but at least he could turn all the lights on on the way to the kitchen. He ran down the hallway silently and flicked the switch for the bathroom light. He crept downstairs, and as his eyes adjusted to the dark, he ran across another hallway and turned on the switch for the living room. that was enough light to walk to the kitchen, but even so he ran, aware of the darkness behind him. He flicked on the switch for the bathroom, and opened up the cupboards.
     There was galleons of food, so he got a packet of tortilla chips, two chocolate mousse, an oat bar and then poured hot water into a mug to make some tea. Joshua sat down at the table with his hoard, and began to eat and drink. He eat and drank through most of the stuff but began to feel tired. He slapped himself, did excersize and breathed deeply, but all in fail as he rested on the table and fell asleep.
     Morning came quickly, and as Joshua arose himself from sleep, he realised he was still at the table... with... half-eaten food? OH NO! He quickly shoved the food into the bin, and ran upstairs to bed, pulled the covers up and tried to fake being asleep. His mum walked into the room.
     "Good morning, Josh." she yawned. Joshu jumped out of bed.
     "Good morning, mum," He practically yelled back. "No time to talk, I must get ready. Now where are my clothes? Oh, gotta get brekfast. Oh wait, forgot to wash and brush." Joshua did all this stuff at lightning speed and shot out the door.
     Joshua's dad woke up. He walked over o his mother, who was watering at the eyes.
   "He didn't even say goodbye," said a wavery voice. Joshua's dad put his arms around Joshua's mum.
   "It's ok, he's just growing up. He'll be back to visit before you notice." Said Joshua's dad's soothing voice.
     Joshua poked his head round the door.
   "Oh, I forgot, goodbye!" He waved goodbye and ran back off to the lab. Today was THE day, nothing would stop him!
     Proffeser Oak, Proffeser Oak, Where's my Pokemon? Proffeser Oak! Joshua could hear the wailing of children eager to get there Pokemon. Oak was surrounded by hordes of people wanting to pet pokemon, wanting to get pokemon, wanting to see pokemon. It was all quite too much for an old man.
   "Alright, people. Back up, nothing to see here," Joshua yelled at the crowd. The crowd of people backed away.
   "Why thank you, young Pokemon Trainer! I take it your here to get your first Pokemon too?" Oak asked. Joshua's eyes glittered.
   "Oh, YES!" He said!
   "Oh really?" Proffeser Oak said. "WELL GET TO THE BACK OF THE QUEUE! I can handle these people myself, you know. I'm not THAT old!" Proffeser Oak yelled at Joshua. "Don't think getting people away can get you to the front of the queue!"
   "Owie owie! Ok, Ok! I'm going!!!" Joshua cried, running to the back of the queue. He hated this, everyone looking at him, thinking badly of him...
     Joshua was waiting for ages before it was his turn. he managed to get on the proffesers bad side. Great.
   "Ah, it's you." He said, dreadfully. Did the proffeser... hate him? "I'm guessing your a Trainer, am I right?" Oak asked.
   "Umm, yeah," Joshua replied.
   "Well," Oak said. "Take your pick." He led Joshua to a room full of Pokemon. Joshua's eyes glistened with happiness. So many beautiful Pokemon. "Hurry up, I haven't got all day!" Oak said. Joshua had to be quick.
   "Hmm... I'll choose that one!" He ran over to a cat-like Pokemon with brown fur. "Hello," Joshua said. "My name is Joshua. You have a lovely soft tail there." The cat-like pokemon blushed.
   "Ah, Eevee, I see you've picked. Well, Eevee, would you like Joshua as your trainer?" Oak asked. Eevee gleamed with happiness, and ran towards Joshua. "Well, Joshua, you have your first Pokemon!" Oak said.
   "Alright!" Joshua cheered. "Thanks, old man!" Joshua picked up Eevee and ran outside. "I'll call you Tails!" Joshua said to his new Pokemon, Eevee. Tails agreed. It was an awesome name!

     It was a bitter cold, early spring day. This fact wouldn't help Joshua and Tails on thier journey through Route 1 anyway. Joshua felt Tails shiver through numb fingers. He couldn't help but pull his beloved Eevee closer to his chest, in a failed attempt to warm her up. Joshua and his Pokemon just needed rest.
   "T-Tails?" Joshua stuttered. "Are y-you cold? Do you n-need to be warmer?" Tails let out a soft moan. She was so bitterly cold she couldn't be bothered to answer. Joshua sighed. Seeing his Eevee suffer like this was filling him with such sadness, it made his eyes water. Or maybe it was the frosty wind chilling him to the bone. Well, Joshua was determined to get to Viridian City. He'd get to that Pokemon Centre anyway he could.
     He trudged through the piling snow on the path floor, only it was getting deeper and deeper as he ventured on, eventually getting to his knees.
   "Tails, we'll get to that Pokemon Centre, just... you... wait..." Joshua coughed. Then a snowflake dropped on his nose. He tickled. It tickled to the point Joshua sneezed. He let out a great ATCHOO and, with his free hand, pulled out a hankerchief. He held it to his nose, and his own cold fingers froze his nose. It made him sneeze again. After he finished with the hanky, he returned it to his pocket and carried on. It seemed Tails was either asleep, or knocked out cold (No pun intended).
     Joshua could hear the savage roars of wild Pokemon, and to him, they felt even more savage with no protection from Tails. What if an angry Spearow decided to attack Joshua? What would he do with his Pokemon companion? Besides this fact, there seemed to be no-one around. All the trainers made it to Viridian before him, and all the loiterers in shorts were probably cold to the bone by the time thay got home. Suddenly, a mound of snow tripped Joshua up, and he landed on his Eevee.
   "N-No! TAILS! Are you alright? T-Tails?" Joshua asked his Eevee mpatiently. Tails had fainted. For sure. Joshua groaned. He picked up Tails and placed him curled up on his shoulder. "I must get t-to that city!" Joshua told himself solemnly. "I will."
     The snow seemed to take a life of it's own, then. The wind roared at Joshua, attacking him with frosty bites, but Joshua moved on. The snow tripped Joshua up again, and he landed in a pool off cold water and an icy smack on his knees, but Joshua picked himself up and moved on. The wind howled again, nipping at him with icy spears of air, but Joshua had already won. the cold had failed. He had won. He had made it to the gate of the city. A man was standing guard, wrapped in the most comfiest of warm scarfs and fabric hats and fluffy coats.
   "Can I help you?" The man asked. Joshua opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. He fainted into the mans arms. "Quick! I need help! Get this boy to the Pokemon Centre!" The men yelled to the other guard. They hauled him to the centre, were Joshua and Tails were healed. Joshua and Tails made it through this time, but would they be so lucky with the other routes?

Ok, as I heard, Gary got into my account last time and I don't know why. Maybe he tried to cheer us up? I don't know, but I do know I missed you all. And to newcomers of this site, I am an old member called Joshua. I was on for a year or so, before my Internet kicked the bucket - for good. I was MIA - Missing in action. I was rarely able to access the net. But one day, we got a wireless router. And I downloaded the Internet channel for my Nintendo Wii. And now, I'm here!!! Finally! I missed you all SO MUCH!!! Guys, It's Joshua!

I'm 12 now, and I've changed quite a bit. I'm an anime freak - Death Note + Naruto = Pure Anime Heaven. I still love Roleplaying, but I can't RP to my usual standards, you see, I'm on my Wii, which means I'm constantly hammering the A button at an onscreen keyboard. This post has taken the best of ten minutes to write, something I'd achieve in less than 2. So, I still love to RP and I'd love to get started! Please reply if you remember me!
